What to expect

Initially, we will sanitize the area requiring removal, then numb it using either a topical or injectable anesthetic. There are two mole-removal techniques: surgical excision (utilizing a scalpel to detach the mole from your skin) and shave excision (using a single or double-edged razor to shave the growth off the skin). Following the mole's removal, the area will be treated suitably and covered. You'll be given precise instructions for at-home wound care, which usually entails keeping it clean and protected. The healing process from mole removal may last up to three weeks.
